International Karate Association's Weapons class includes training in a multitude of weapons including the Tonfa (side handle baton) Jo (short staff), Katana (samurai sword), Tsue (walking cane), Bokken and Shinai (wooden swords).
Training includes several kata (forms) for each weapon and training in fighting techniques. Some Kendo (Japanese fencing) and laido (drawing of the katana) like training is also integrated into the classes.
Classes are held every Saturday mornings and are personally taught by Soke Kubota. Limited space. Enrollment subject to availability.
